One of the best uses of the internet is discovering or rediscovering great talent. Sometimes you can do both at the same time. Case in point is the Miles Remixed project from the producer and DJ known as Apple Juice Kid. He’s worked with a number of noted Hip Hop artists such as Outkast, MC Lyte, Wale, Mos Def, D Woods formerly of Danity Kane and the Jungle Brothers. One of his side projects is mixing legendary jazz artists with hip hop and jungle beats to create a modern take on classic jazz standards. The likelihood of screwing something up like this and pissing off scores of jazz and hip hop fanatics was high so props go out to Apple Juice Kid for making a project that sounds dope!
He also has another remix project using classic songs from Louis Armstrong called Louis Armstrong Remixed. Louis Armstrong Remixed is part of a collaboration with Battalion Armour and Apple Juice Kid for the Beautiful Warriors 2 project. Please visit www.battalionarmour.com to see all the videos set to these songs.
